Corporate governance

The Rural Funds Group (the Fund) is a registered managed investment scheme under the Corporations Act and listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX).

Rural Funds Management Limited (RFM) is the Responsible Entity (RE) for the Fund and has established and oversees the corporate governance of the Fund. The RE holds an Australian Financial Services License authorising it to operate the Fund. It has a duty to act in the best interest of Unitholders of the Fund. The Fund has a compliance plan that has been lodged with the Australian Securities and Investment Commission (ASIC). A copy of the compliance plan can be obtained from ASIC or by contacting the RE.

The RFM Board takes its corporate governance responsibilities seriously. The Board is comprised of five directors and has a mix of the experience and skills necessary to oversee the corporate governance requirements of the RE. This ensures the RE operates with integrity, is accountable and acts in a professional and ethical manner. The Board works together and their collective ability facilitates effective decision making to lead a viable, profitable and efficient business.
