Located a short drive outside of Bundaberg in Queensland, the two orchards Swan Ridge and Moore Park are entering maturity and are expected to be cash flow positive in the current calendar year.

RFM is a Grower in the Project with 79 of the total 579 groves, which aligns the interests of the responsible entity, landlord and Growers participating in the project.  RFM’s almond farming expertise will be leveraged to maximise farming outcomes on the properties.

Assets / Operations

The two orchards (234 ha) are leased to a tax effective managed investment scheme (MIS), managed by RFM. This structure is similar to the RFM Almond Funds, which are also lessees of Rural Funds Group (RFF).

Growers are entitled to the macadamia nuts harvested on each ‘grove’ which represents approximately 0.4 ha in size.  Harvesting occurs over several months from March to September as the nuts fall from the trees. They are dehusked on-farm and then transported to a processing facility located just a few kilometres from Swan Ridge and 12 kilometres from Moore Park.
