RFM is responsible for strategic direction and day to day management of each of the Funds, including the timing of asset acquisitions and sales, investment structure and portfolio composition. RFM is paid a management fee for provision of these services.
The RFM management team has significant experience in the Australian agricultural sector. This experience includes the management of a number of large farm developments from initial planning (including obtaining development approvals) through to completion and operation.
RFM's program included working with RFF lessee, Olam Orchards Australia, to establish 3,100 ha of almond orchards, bringing RFF’s total almond orchard size to 4,900 hectares. Additionally, RFM, as manager of Cotton JV, has developed 640 ha of irrigated cotton cropping area in central Queensland. RFM has also overseen the acquisition or development of 660 hectares of wine grapes, the construction of large-scale poultry growing facilities, the acquisition or development of 259 hectares of macadamia orchards and the management of approximately 15,000 head of cattle across 250,000 ha. The depth and breadth of operational expertise within RFM management contributes significantly to the integrity of the decision-making process.

The Company has the skills and expertise to research, analyse and model potential enterprises and development opportunities. Investment decisions are underpinned by rigorous due diligence including independent technical, legal, tax and accounting advice.
